Sled harness Nansen 5.0 6

This harness for dogs is a new version of the earlier x-back model. Since 2010, the Nansen nome harness has been used by dog teams that have won international medals in short, medium and long-distance races.

In Norway, they tested the harness at a distance equal to 16 trips around the world. It is also the harness that Thomas Warner used when Iditarod won in 2020.

The harness is designed to allow the dog optimal performance without restricting movement or breathing. The front and flat Y-shaped chest uses all the force that the dog puts into the harness. The straight section over the dog's neck provides full freedom of movement in the shoulders. For dogs that pull to one side, this harness reduces the risk of strain because the back strap moves along the attachment point, which balances the harness and the dog. The reflective flap on the neck allows you to see any irregularities in the dog's movement.

The Nansen nome harness is available in half sizes that have the same back length but larger neck circumference. Half sizes have a red end rope, full sizes have a blue end rope. The length of the rear strap on this harness varies from size to size. The total length of the harness is therefore the same regardless of size. This towing harness is available in sizes 5-9.5.

The harness is made of durable, tightly woven nylon and has a foam padding with closed pores that prevent water infiltration and maximize comfort. Each seam has its smooth side towards the dog's body, all to ensure that the dog's harness does not rub. All our harnesses have integrated 3M reflective materials for dog safety.
