We have a dog first aid kit with us for every trip. If something happens to the hair and you don't treat it properly, it can have an unnecessarily bad experience. And we don't want that!

We packed everything you can use for a short trip, a long hike and just at home:

• Koban - self-adhesive flexible bandage = The absolute basis of a dog first aid kit for quick treatment of wounds, especially on the limbs. Better than a bandage.
• Boots - 2 pcs = You will treat the checked claw and if it works, the dog will walk after all four thanks to the boot. We use these whistles all year round, the dog has a feeling in their legs and walks well.
• Emergency whistle = Suitable not only for mountains.
• Tick tweezers = Almost mandatory equipment from March to October.
• Disinfection

Sample from our first aid manual - How to treat a checked claw?

1. Depending on the extent of the injury and damage to the nail bed, blood may also flow, so the wound needs to be rinsed with (clean!) Water.
2. Then comes the disinfection .
3. Sometimes the claw just hangs on the hair, you can try to take it carefully between two fingers and it falls off almost alone. If necessary, cut it.
4. Take a sterile pad and line the wound with it, especially between the fingers, where the dogs sweat to avoid unnecessary abrasions.
5. Weigh and fasten with a bandage.
6. Put on a boot and don't make it a big drama and want the dog to walk and watch him by the eye.
7. The next day, check everything , prevail, and if you don't like it, go to the vet.

Our Jizera first aid kit

We missed the market, so we put together and made our own. Nice locally. The medical material is from the Giant Mountains, our packaging is sewn in Jizerky, disinfection is produced in Jablonec nad Nisou and instructions are printed in Liberec.
